WHO ARE WE?

St. Barnabas is a member of The Anglican CommunionThe Anglican Communion dates to the 16th century and is made up of over 77 million believers around the world, with the largest concentrations in African nations like Nigeria and Kenya.  St. Barnabas is a member of the   Convocation of Anglicans of North America (CANA).  CANA is a missionary effort of the Anglican Church of Nigeria.  St. Barnabas is made up of nearly 250 families who seek  the authority of scripture, and who wish to take the Gospel of Jesus to this community  through outreach to the hurting, evangelism to the lost, and helping to plant other orthodox churches.

We take our mission seriously, and call the membership to the covenant that they make when they join St. Barnabas (Baptism Covenant  BCP pp. 301 - 305 ).  All of our ministry stems from a living relationship with our Lord…and  can only be accomplished through the renewing of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

We have been given the opportunity to make a real difference in this land through the reconciliation of our neighbors and friends with God through his Son and our Savior Jesus Christ.  Therefore, we carry the transforming message of Jesus Christ with us at all times.

WELCOME TO ST. BARNABAS

At St. Barnabas you'll find people of all ages, committed to learning from the Bible, as we seek to actively love and serve Jesus Christ.  Our purpose statement is taken from Christ’s Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40), Great Commission (Matthew 28:18- 20), and Great Proclamation (Luke 4:17-21).

In them we are called to:

“Love the Living Lord, Foster His Family of Faith, Call the Culture to Christ”

At St. Barnabas, there’s a place for you, where  we  welcome anyone unfamiliar with the Christian faith  and are eager to answer any questions asked at a Sunday gathering.
